Heavy
Duty Corded Drills
A good
Heavy Duty Corded Drill is built to last and tough enough to handle
almost any job. Heavy duty Corded Drills spin as slow as 500 rpm
and can drive bits that need real power, such as Forstner or multispur
bits. Most accept only ½” drill bits, but some 3/8"
models are available.
Heavy
Duty Corded Drills have powerful motors and take on big jobs. Features
like heat-treated metal gears and metal gear-housings can increase
the drills' durability and life-span, and should be seriously considered.
Heavy
Duty Corded Drills have the same draw-backs and benefits of their
lighter-duty counter-parts. A nearby power-source is necessary,
mobility is reduced and factors like cord-length and type must be
considered. On the other hand, they are lighter, less prone to over-heat
and you can work longer at a stretch.
