Other Drill Bits

There are some drill bits that are household names, like the world famous Carbide Drill Bit, and there are others that labor away in obscurity, known only to the pro's. Where’s the love? It’s right here, in a little list call Other Drill Bits.

  • Bullet Point Drill Bits: Has a central point and 2 spurs for drilling clean holes in wood, metal and plastic.
  • Micro Drill Bits: Small drill bits used to drill tiny, shallow holes, generally for precision instruments and models/toys.
  • Hex Shank Drill Bit: This bit’s hexagonal shape increases torque and decreases slippage in the chuck.
  • Reduced Shank Drill Bit: This bit has a smaller length of shank compared to its cutting surface in order to fit in smaller chucks.
  • Push Drill Bit: Any bit that fits in the chuck of a push drill and works with its mechanical action.
  • Fractional Inch Drill Bits: Bits measured in fractions of an inch (e.g. 5/8th); used almost exclusively in the U.S.A.
  • Metric Drill Bits: Bits measured in terms of the metric system (e.g. 50mm); used throughout the world except in the U.S.A.
